Tuffinbelt ultra hard wearing polyurethane butchers utility belts set the standard for quality, function and comfort. Fully designed and constructed to our own original component specifications for years of tough professional work.
Hand built in Australia since 1968, they are used in all stages of commercial meat production – from the largest export abattoirs and meat processing facilities through to wholesale coldrooms and retail butcher shops.
Worn over the clothes and apron, our belts are used to carry a knife pouch and sharpening steel. Developed with hygiene as a primary focus, they are non-absorbent and resistant to oil and grease. Easy to clean and safely steam sterilize.
SPECIFICATIONS
Tuffinbelts are made from food contact approved BASF® solid extruded polyurethane containing no PVC (vinyl), rubber, silicone or plasticisers. A commercially recyclable material that is also a true industrial grade plastic with unique properties in terms of strength, resilience and durability. Combining elasticity and stability over a wide range of temperatures, it demonstrates high resistance to cutting, tear propagation and abrasion.
The belts feature a fixed side attachment comprising a loop of clear polyurethane cord and push clip to hold a sharpening steel. Both the side clip and main belt buckle hardware are premium nickel-plated steel, custom made for us in England.
By default the steel carrier is mounted on the left side for right hand knife usage, as pictured. When specifically ordered for left hand knife usage, we instead invert the clip 180 degrees so that when the belt is flipped the sharpening steel will hang naturally on the right side.
Abattoirs placing quantity orders may request belts without any attachment clips fitted if preferred (unit price adjusted).

We distribute wholesale across Australia to butcher supply companies, directly to abattoirs and meat processors, as well as export. Wholesale ordering requires a minimum purchase quantity, comprised of any mix of size and colour options. Please enquire for the current pricing.

Retail PURCHASES
Retail purchases are available through various butchers equipment retailers throughout Australia. Please check with your regular supplier.
You can also purchase from us directly by debit or credit card via Paypal. Individual belt prices are AUD60 each which includes GST and postage on domestic Australian orders, and air postage on international orders which are GST-free. Just choose your colour, size and clip mounting side via the cart options below. Quantities may be adjusted at the checkout.
Your order will be sent with a full tax invoice/receipt enclosed. No after marketing or site registration required, and we do not share your email or personal data with anyone. For food hygiene reasons belts cannot be returned or exchanged unless there is a manufacturing fault, so please check your measurements and sizing choice carefully before ordering.
